3Dfx Interactive Voodoo Graphics Tomb Raider Executable
Based on the February 12, 1997 release from EIDOS Interactive
-------------------------------------------------------------
1) Install the software-only game as usual
2) Copy this TOMB.EXE to the install directory from Step 1.
3) Play the game and enjoy!
4) You may play the software-only version by copying TOMB.EXE
from the root directory on the retail CD back to the
install directory from Step 1.
SPECIAL VOODOO GRAPHICS GAME OPTIONS:
F2 toggles frame-rate counter on/off
F3 toggles anti-aliasing on/off
F4 toggles mip-mapping (can also use sunglasses in options menu.)
NOTE: Enabling mip-mapping for the first time in a level can
cause a 20-30 second delay while the program creates the
mim-map levels
From EIDOS Interactive:
How to use the 3Dfx Patch
The zip file contains a file "tomb.exe". This needs to be placed
on your hard drive in the directory where you installed the game.
By default, this would be c:\tombraid. Don't worry about overwriting
the original tomb.exe, you have a copy on your CD.
Mip Mapping has been implemented, its purpose is to make distant
objects more clear. It can be turned on/off in the game by
hitting F4 (in-game) or clicking on the sunglasses icon in the
menu rings; by default Mip Mapping is set to ON. If you wish to
turn mip Mapping off, use the sunglasses icon. Your selection
will be saved as well as applied, ie when you play another game,
Mip Mapping will remain OFF.
